Standing Buffalo School is located in the beautiful Qu’Appelle Valley and is 102 km east of Regina, Sask. Standing Buffalo School provides a full range of K-9 programs and services for approximately 120 students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement instructional plans that align with curriculum outcomes.
- Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Utilize differentiated instruction and accommodations to meet diverse learning needs.
- Assess student progress and communicate effectively with families and staff.
- Maintain accurate records of student achievement and behaviour.
- Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and administration to enhance student learning.
- Incorporate Dakota perspectives and community values into teaching practice.
Qualifications and Assets:
- Bachelor of Education degree and valid teaching certification in Saskatchewan.
- Experience working with students of varying abilities and backgrounds.
- Knowledge of making accommodations and individualized learning plans is considered a strong asset.
- Experience with or ability to complete the Acadience Assessment for English Language Arts (ELA) is an asset.
- Strong classroom management skills and a positive, student-centered approach.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development.
