First Nations Principals Short Course

  • August 12 to 14, 2026 All Day

FHQTC Education is proud to present the First Nations Principals Short Course, a comprehensive three-day professional development opportunity designed to support education leaders and aspiring managers. The course centers heavily on strengthening leadership, expanding governance knowledge, and building robust administrative capacity specifically within First Nations education settings.

The short course will be held from August 12th to August 14th, 2026, at the beautiful Wanuskewin Heritage Park in Saskatoon, SK. This program is highly recommended for school administrators, education leaders, staff, and any aspiring leaders looking to advance their management skills.

Participants will dive deep into critical core themes, exploring the current Indian Education Context (trends and realities), Instructional Leadership (focusing on student success and cultural identity), and School Legalities (policies and responsibilities). Program highlights include guidance from expert Indigenous facilitators, interactive workshops and group discussions, excellent networking opportunities across Nations, and a formal Certificate of Completion.
