Program Support Administrator

Permanent Full Time (40hrs/week) 8:00-4:30 pm


Leading Thunderbird Lodge is a residential youth treatment facility located at Fort San, SK in the Qu’Appelle Valley. The Lodge offers a 12-week holistic and culturally based addiction and mental health treatment program for Indigenous male youth between the ages of 12-17 years.



The Program Support Administrator performs the following essential services within the framework of Leading Thunderbird Lodge’s core policies, functions and mandate in the provision of providing essential services to youth in residence.


Program Support

  • Develops and maintains respectful, cooperative working relationships internal and external to the organization that contributes to the quality of services provided to the youth in residence.
  • Assists teams with program planning and/or preparation of programming as may be required.
  • Assists with the scheduling and booking of team meetings, staff training as required.
  • Assists team members with undertaking pre/post assessments as necessary.
  • Conveys relevant policies, practices and processes to program team members and clients as required.

Administrative Services

  • Works collaboratively with all programming team members to support the youth in residence.
  • Maintains confidentiality regarding privileged administrative, client and staff information.
  • Responsible for the overall NYSAP data input and reporting with the AMIS database.



Diploma in the field of administration, social work, psychology or human services AND three (3) years direct work experience


Bachelor’s Degree in the field of social work, psychology, education, or human services AND one (1) year direct work experience


  • Knowledge of addictions and mental health issues facing youth
  • Knowledge of treatment and clinical regulations
  • Demonstrate excellent initiative, interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Must be organized and able to effectively communicate both orally and in writing
  • Knowledge, awareness, understanding and sensitivity of working with at risk youth with diverse family dynamics
  • Working knowledge of all current Microsoft Office software applications and programs including an aptitude in working with various computer hardware


Salary will be commensurate with education and experience.
