The Peepeekisis School located on the Peepeekisis First Nation provides a full range of K-12 programs and services for approximately 150 students. The Peepeekisis Pesakastew is seeking an enthusiastic and creative teacher who is willing to join an incredible staff who bring experience, endless energy, and devotion to teaching aboriginal youth.The successful candidate needs to be highly organized and able to develop a safe, stimulating environment that actively engages the students to learn. They will need to have experience in curriculum development. This is a full-time position to commence the beginning of the 2026-2027 school year.
- Bachelor of Education would be preferred or combination of 2-5 years relative work experience
- Possess excellent communication skills including written, oral and interpersonal skills;
- Have initiative and judgment, confidentiality is imperative;
- Possess teamwork and cooperation and planning, and monitoring skills;
- Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines and be able to work with minimal supervision;
- Possess commitment to learning;
- Have a good understanding of First Nations cultures, traditions;
- Must provide a Criminal Record check, Vulnerable Sector Check;
- Provide a Valid Saskatchewan Teaching Certificate;
- Must have the skills and ability to relate to students and be sensitive to their needs;
- Promote a positive behavioral learning environment;
- Willingness to use technology as part of the curriculum
