Regina Treaty/Status Indian Services Inc. (RT/SIS) is a non-profit organization that provides a range of programs and services to the First Nations population in the City of Regina. RT/SIS is an affiliate organization of the Touchwood Agency and the File Hills Qu’Appelle Tribal Council. The First Nations Employment Centre (FNEC) is a program within RT/SIS that works toward the advancement of employment opportunities for First Nations people.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide urban First Nations people with advocacy, employment, and training services to advance employment opportunities.
Case manage clients to assess their training and educational needs.
Assist clients with goal setting.
Ensure clients have clearly defined career paths.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Diploma or Certificate in Aboriginal Employment Development or Business Management.
Knowledge & Experience: Understanding of the employment needs of First Nations clients and available employment opportunities. Knowledge of First Nations values, culture, traditions, and governance.
Technical Skills: Good working knowledge of various software programs and knowledge of SITAG’s Training Assessment System.
Core Competencies: Proven administrative and case management capabilities, alongside excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Certifications: Must possess CPR and First Aid certificates.
Requirements: Possess a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle.
Working Conditions: Willing to work flexible hours and demonstrating a willingness to learn and work with youth facing complex barriers. Must be able to pass a security screening and maintain confidentiality.
