The File Hills Qu’Appelle Tribal Council (FHQTC), on behalf of Ocean Man First Nation, invites applications for a passionate and committed Learning Resource Teacher at the Ocean Man Education Centre.


This full-time term position will begin August 24, 2026, offering the chance to help shape a culturally relevant, land-based, and student-focused learning environment in a supportive and inspiring setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Possess excellent communication skills including written, oral and interpersonal skills
  • Maintain professional judgement, confidentiality is imperative
  • Possess teamwork, cooperation, planning and monitoring skills while working with a team
  • Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines and be able to work with minimum supervision
  • Identify and support students with diverse learning needs.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized learning plans (ILPs), intervention plans, and accommodations.
  • Keep detailed records and files of students’ needs and adaptations
  • Provide direct instruction to individual students and small groups requiring additional academic support.
  • Support students in developing literacy, numeracy, social-emotional, and executive functioning skills.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust interventions based on assessment data
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master of Education would be preferred, or combination of 5 years’ relative work experience in Intensive Needs and Bachelor of Education would be considered.
  • Registered and in good standing with the Saskatchewan Professional Regulatory Board.
  • Criminal Record check with a vulnerable sector search
  • Valid Driver’s license
  • Knowledge of Nakoda language and culture is an asset
