The Reintegration Worker reports to the Director of Justice and plays a vital role in supporting high-risk youth on probation through reintegration services. This includes fostering strong relationships with youth, Youth Workers, Probation Officers, and Community Justice Development Workers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting client assessments
- Creating and implementing individualized case plans
- Facilitating connections to home communities
- Organizing cultural and recreational programming
- Collaborating with Community and Custody Youth Workers to identify supports needed by the youth, their families, and communities
This full-time position is based in Fort Qu’Appelle, Saskatchewan, with flexibility for after-school, evening, and community-based work. Travel and client transportation to surrounding areas are required.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree in Human Justice, Social Work, or a related field preferred
(a combination of education and relevant experience will be considered) - Minimum of two (2) years’ experience working with youth in justice or social service settings
- Knowledge of the Canadian and Saskatchewan Justice systems, with a strong understanding of First Nations justice initiatives
- Experience working with First Nations communities, including knowledge of cultural practices and traditions
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently in a confidential and high-responsibility environment
- Experience in establishing collaborative relationships with service providers and community resources
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and case management data entry
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle is required
