Red Dress Day Walk: Honouring MMIWG2S

he File Hills Qu’Appelle Tribal Council (FHQTC) invites the community to participate in the Red Dress Day Walk on May 5 to raise awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and 2SLGBTQIA+ people. This important event is sponsored by FHQ Tribal Council, Bert Fox Community High School, White Raven Healing Centre, Lions International, and Co-op.

The day begins at 9:00 AM and concludes at 1:00 PM. The schedule includes a Pipe Ceremony in the Bert Fox Community High School Culture Room at 9:00 AM, followed by a gathering at the football field at 10:00 AM. The walk to the File Hills Tribal Council will commence at 10:30 AM, with guest speakers scheduled for 11:00 AM. To conclude the event, a community barbecue will be held at 12:00 PM at the Treaty 4 Governance Centre.
