2025 Saskatchewan Emergency Management Forum
The Saskatchewan First Nations Emergency Management Forum is an annual event that brings together Saskatchewan First Nations Emergency Personnel, Elders, Youth, Trainers, and Industry Leaders. The forum offers an opportunity for First Nation communities in Saskatchewan to learn about new initiatives and programs that support community-level emergency management, including preparedness and response. It also provides networking opportunities with other management coordinators and a chance to gain valuable tools to help develop and refine community all-hazard emergency management plans.
This year’s Forum was held from October 27th to 30th, 2025. The topics included Preparing for the first 72 hours of an Emergency, Building Emergency Plans for the Community, an overview of the Youth Fire Guardians Program, lessons learned from the 2025 Wildfire season, and Climate Change impacts on youth and elders.
