The Tatanga Najin Wacipi: Honoring Culture & Traditions!

The community is thrilled to invite everyone to join them for the Tatanga Najin Wacipi on August 8, 9, and 10, 2025! This will be a special time for everyone to come together and share vibrant traditions, with incredible drumming, beautiful dancing, and the spirit of their ancestors.
Grand Entry Times:
- Friday: 8:00 PM
- Saturday: 1:00 PM & 7:00 PM
- Sunday: 1:00 PM
Location: The event will be held 78 KMs NW of Regina on Highway SK-10-E, and 6KMs west of Fort Qu’Appelle, at the beautiful base of Echo Valley Provincial Park.
Highlights of the Event: The Wacipi is honored to host Indian Hill, California USA as the Host Drum, alongside many talented Invited Drums including Bad Nation – Crazy Creek, Dakota Hutan, Iron Nation, Otto Young – Piapot, Poundmaker Pejuta, White Fish Jrs – Woodenfice. (Singers are asked to bring their own chairs!)
Attendees can enjoy exciting Chief & Council Specials with generous payouts for adult categories each night. Spectators can witness the skill and artistry in the Moccasin Tournament, and not miss the diverse Specials on Saturday, including Golden Age Traditional, Contemporary Jingle Dress, and the 2nd Memorial Grass Special. The event will also be honoring connections with Men’s and Women’s Traditional Specials 18+, and a dedicated Golden Age Men’sMemorial Grass Special.
Sunday will feature a heartfelt Tiny Tot Initiation Special and a lively Chicken Dance Special.
The skies will light up with Fireworks on Saturday Night, and guests can enjoy the Wichisaka Atayap – Women Back Up Singer Contest and a community Indian Auction on Sunday. The event is also proud to host a Princess Pageant & Attire and provide Photo Range and Booths.
For those unable to attend in person, the event will be Streamed Live to the World on PowWows.com!
Delicious Food & Vendors will be on site. Vendors interested in participating are asked to contact Dalton Yuzicappi at (306) 532-4685. Attendees can visit Buffalo Crossing for all their essentials, pizza, chicken, and drinks!

Important information: Westeste Sound – C&T Tabulations will be handling the music. There will be no outside raffles. Security and First Aid will be on site for everyone’s safety.
