Mental Health and Wellness (Clinical Therapy/Counselling)

The Mental Health and Wellness clinical team provides counselling to individuals, couples, families, and groups who are dealing with issues that affect their mental health and well-being. Clients are provided with safe, confidential supports in areas such as client treatment assessments, therapy plans, counselling, and support services.

Each therapist and outreach worker works in collaboration with colleagues to develop, implement, and evaluate wellness program plans and work plans, and offer healing programs that integrate and balance a social, spiritual, and emotional healing process.

This clinical team integrates clinical expertise with cultural knowledge, traditions, and practices specific to each program. They provide culturally relevant mental health services that respects Indigenous worldviews, fosters healing through traditional approaches, and addresses intergenerational trauma, systemic inequalities, and the unique challenges faced by Indigenous peoples. Their work is vital in creating safe, inclusive spaces that honour identity and promote holistic well-being.

Specialized Mental Health Programs

White Raven Healing Centre provides targeted specialised supports for clients affected or impacted by the following:

  • Indian Residential and Indian Day School Program
  • Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women
  • Responsible Gaming
  • Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM)

The intake process and first point of contact for confidential supports is done by outreach liaison workers. These individuals are trained and certified in mental health therapy. They offer the mental health and wellness clinical team support with research, resources, and needs assessment evaluations to ensure the Centre continuously meets community needs.
