Mental Health Services
FHQTC Education Mental Health Services aims to enhance well-being, build resilience, and support positive outcomes for students and schools.
Flexible counseling services are available in-person, by phone, or via video, providing safe spaces to address challenges and improve mental health. Referrals are accepted from schools, parents, caregivers, or students; parental consent is required for those under 16.
Social-emotional learning equips students with essential skills like self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship building, and responsible decision-making. School wellness plans, developed in collaboration with internal departments and external agencies, address topics such as:
- Alcohol and drug awareness
- SGI traffic safety prevention
- Bullying and cyberbullying prevention
- Healthy relationships
- Physical wellness and sports
- 2Spirit safe spaces
Together, these initiatives foster a holistic, inclusive approach to student wellness, empowering them to thrive personally and academically.
