Food Is Medicine

Traditional Knowledge Keeper Rick Favel began to build the Food is Medicine program out of the recognition that proper food and nutrition is essential. Monthly traditional Indigenous meals are served to inpatients, dialysis clients, and staff within All Nations’ Healing Hospital to support spiritual, physical, emotional, and mental health.

Traditional foods cannot be separated from prayer. Vibration is infused into the game, berries, plants, and herbs by the Cultural Practitioners upon arrival at All Nations’ Healing Hospital, and before the food is served. This ensures these traditional foods are a spiritual and vibrational match for the health and healing of our patients and staff.
