GoodMinds.com Donates $55,000 to FHQTC Education to help fund 11 Community Libraries for our 11 Member Nations
(Treaty 4 Territory, SK) – GoodMinds.com has donated $55,000 to File Hills Qu’Appelle Tribal Council (FHQTC) to help fund 11 community libraries for our 11 Member Nations.
Recognizing the growing trend of mini-libraries in many other communities, the FHQTC Education department set a goal to create a mini-library in each of our 11 Member Nations to help boost literacy, and a love for books and reading.
“Strengthening reading skills for our students requires access to high quality books. By removing this simple obstacle and making books available, children’s literacy levels improve significantly.” stated Director of Education Sarah Longman. “The effects of free access can be profound and lasting.”, Longman added.
